29th November 2019. DB diesel-electric locomotive 67024 in Belmond Pullman colours approaches Addlestone Moor with a Pullman car excursion from London Victoria to Eastleigh.
  

27th November 2019. GBRf electro-diesel locomotive 73963 passes Esher on the Up Slow line at the head of a test train from Eastleigh to Wimbledon.
  

21st November 2019. DB locomotive 66140 in EWS livery heads a train of empty sand hopper wagons shortly after departure from the unloading point at Tolworth, heading for Cliffe in Kent in somewhat murky light.
  

3rd November 2019. Diesel-electric locomotive 66749 in GBRf colours heads train 6G15 from the engineering work site at Barnham to Eastleigh as it approaches Addlestone Moor. The train behind the locomotive consists of a type OCA open wagon, three Salmon bogie flat wagons, a former Tiphook Rail bogie container flat wagon, and a further type OCA open wagon at the rear.
  

27 October 2019. Steam locomotive 10 "Zambesi" was at the Bredgar & Wormshill Railway in Kent. This locomotive was built by John Fowler of Leeds in 1912 as works number 13573, and was used at Sena Sugar Estates at Mapela in Mozambique.
  

9th October 2019. EMU 5858 in South Western Railway colours approaches Hersham station on a Woking to London Waterloo stopping service. This was an unplanned photograph, taken while at the station to meet a friend.
  

3rd October 2019. Road / rail machine 99709 940879, also numbered 8 and RRV150, stands in the car park at Ewell West station.
  

2nd October 2019. Former BR English Electric type 3 diesel locomotive 37612 passes Esher on the Up Slow line at the head of test train 1Q53 on an Eastleigh to Wimbledon leg of that day's testing schedule.
  

20th September 2019. GBRf locomotive 66873 "The Flying Dustman" in Biffa colours stands in Tonbridge West Yard.
  

17th September 2019. London & North Western Railway steam locomotive 3020 "Cornwall" on display in the former Rewley Road (Oxford) station building at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre at Quainton Road station, near Aylesbury. This locomotive was built by the Grand Junction Railway at their works in Crewe in 1847 and was exhibited in the Great Exhibition at Hyde Park in London in 1851. It was rebuilt at Crewe by the London & North Western Railway in 1858. The large driving wheels are 8 feet 6 inches in diameter.
  

15th September 2019. Freightliner locomotive 66606 stands in the aviation fuel depot at Colnbrook. This line is the truncated remains of the former Great Western Railway branch line from West Drayton to Staines West, which now terminates just out of frame to the left of this photo.
  

13th September 2019. This is the cliff railway at Hastings in Kent, with its imposing building at the summit.
  

12th September 2019. DB locomotive 66030 in EWS livery leaves Tolworth with empty DB sand hoppers bound for Cliffe in Kent. It is believed that these hopper wagons were rebuilt for sand traffic from redundant DB coal hopper wagons.
  

8th September 2019. Colas Rail locomotive 66847"Terry Baker" heads a Hoo Junction to Eastleigh train as it passes under the Addlestone Moor footbridge. This locomotive arrived in Britain at Newport Docks in late 2003 as Freightliner 66574 and transferred to Colas Rail in mid-2011.
  

7th September 2019. Freightliner diesel-electric locomotive 66418 "Patriot" heads through Esher with engineering materials train 6Y90 from Eastleigh to Queenstown Road. This locomotive was previously operated by DRS (Direct Rail Services).
  

3rd September 2019. Class B1 4-6-0 steam locomotive 61306 is seen running backwards at the rear of train 1Z28 from Windsor & Eaton Riverside to London Waterloo as it passes through Wraysbury station.
  

23rd August 2019. Road / rail digger 99709 910045-2 stands in the car park at Ewell West station. It also carries the number RRV144, where RRV is assumed to stand for Road Rail Vehicle.
  

18th August 2019. Diesel-electric locomotive 33012 (carrying its original number D6515) is seen at the head of train 1Z73 from London Waterloo to Swanage as it heads through Esher at speed in the rain.
  

15th August 2019. DB diesel-electric locomotive 66074 heads a train of empty DB hopper wagons from Tolworth to Cliffe. It is seen soon after passing through Tolworth station, which can be glimpsed in the distance. The hopper wagons are believed to have been in coal traffic until becoming redundant and being re-assigned to move sand.
  

11th August 2019. Class 47 diesel-electric locomotive 44779 "City of Truro" sits in Tonbridge West Yard between duties. This locomotive was allocated to move electric multiple units which need their wheels to be re-profiled between Ashford depot and North Pole depot, while the wheel lathe at Ashford was out of commission. The large Scharfenberg coupler for connecting to electric multiple units is clearly visible.
  

10th August 2019. Preserved ex-Southern Railway Merchant Navy class Pacific steam locomotive 35028 "Clan Line" passes Esher with excursion train 1Z82 from London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids.
  

28th July 2019. Electro-diesel locomotive 73201heads the London Transport 4-TC with a further class 73 locomotive at the rear as it passes Esher with train 1Z73 from London Waterloo to Swanage.
  

20th June 2019. Preserved Black 5 4-6-0 steam locomotive 44871 is seen running backwards at the rear of train 1Z90 from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour as it passes through Esher station.
  

18th June 2019. Class B1 4-6-0 steam locomotive 61306 "Mayflower" heads excursion train 1Z35 from Southend East to Winchester as it approaches Trumps Mill Lane bridge at Virginia Water.
  

14th June 2019. Preserved South African Railways 4-8-2T steam locomotive number 196 on display at the Mizens Railway at Woking. This locomotive was built by Dubs of Glasgow in 1899 as their works number 3819 and was despatched from there to the Natal Government Railway. The locomotive is 3ft 6in gauge.
  

11th June 2019. DB diesel-electric locomotive 66053 heads train 6Y08 moments after leaving the stone terminal at Tolworth, heading for Cliffe in Kent. The empty wagons forming the train all carried DB markings, displayed UIC-format numbers and were ex-DB coal wagons that were reduced in length for use carrying stone.
  

6th July 2019. Merchant Navy class steam locomotive 35018 "British India Line" passes through West Byfleet as the sun sets hauling train 1Z84 from Weymouth to London Victoria.
  

30th June 2019. Colas diesel-electric locomotive 70814 heads a engineering train 6C03 from the work site at Feltham Junction to Eastleigh after passing through Chertsey station and approaching Addlestone Moor footbridge.
  

4th June 2019. Class B1 steam locomotive 61306 "Mayflower" in low light at sunset. The locomotive had taken on water at Chertsey Station, which can be seen in the distance, and was heading to London Victoria via Guildford and Redhill.
  

30th May 2019. Ex-LNER class A3 steam locomotive 60103 "Flying Scotsman" on circular excursion train 1Z86 from London Victoria via Staines, Guildford and Redhill back to London Victoria as it approaches Addlestone Moor footbridge.
  

27th May 2019. GBRf locomotive 66755 heads train 6Y42 from Hoo Junction to Eastleigh it passes Chertsey station and approaches the Addlestone Moor footbridge. The tall vehicle as the rear of the train are a set of five Autoballaster hopper wagons.
  

18th May 2019. DB diesel-electric locomotive 67004 heads a Surbiton to Stewarts Lane empty coaching stock train as it passes the station car park at Esher.
  

17th May 2019. DRS class 37 diesel-electric locomotive 37402 heads an Eastleigh to Norwich empty coaching stock as it passes Addlestone Moor and nears Chertsey.
  

24th April 2019. GBRf diesel-electric locomotive 66779 "Evening Star" heads train 4Y19 from Mountfield in Kent to Southampton Docks as it passes The Swamp near Byfleet Junction.
  

18th April 2019. Southern Region rebuilt Merchant Navy Pacific locomotive number 35028 "Clan Line" heads train 1Y82 at The Swamp near Byfleet Junction. This was a circular dining tour using Pullman cars that ran from London Victoria via Staines, Guildford and Redhill and then on to London Victoria. The two coaches visible in the photograph behind the loco are support vehicles that are painted to blend in with the Pullman cars further along the train.
  

12th April 2019. Famous ex-LNER steam locomotive 60103 "Flying Scotsman" is seen at The Swamp soon after leaving the South Western Main Line at Byfleet Junction. The locomotive and its support coach were moving as train 5Z75 from Swanage to Southall.
 
This class A3 locomotive was designed under the leadership of Nigel Gresley (later to become Sir Nigel Gresley) and built at the LNER works at Doncaster in 1923 as their works number 1564. It originally ran as LNER 4472, then renumbered to LNER 103 and later renumbered as BR 60103.
  

11th April 2019. Celebrity GBRf diesel-electric locomotive 66779 "Evening Star" approaches the Addlestone Moor footbridge with train 4Y19, consisting of empty GBRf type Ealnos wagons from Mountfield in Kent to Southampton Docks. This was the final class 66 locomotive to be built, and carries the same name as the final steam locomotive that was built for BR back in 1960.
  

23rd March 2019. B1 class 61306 "Mayflower" passes The Swamp as it approaches Byfleet Junction with excursion train 1Z61 from Southend East to Kingscote on the Bluebell Railway. The locomotive was built in 1948 by the North British Locomotive Company at their Queen's Park Works in Glasgow to a well-established LNER design. 
  

8th March 2019. Bullied Merchant Navy Pacific 35028 "Clan Line" heads train 1Y82 as it approaches Coxes Mill at Addlestone. The train is composed of Pullman cars, plus some support vehicles, and was operating a circular tour from London Victoria via Staines, Guildford and Redhill back to London Victoria in somewhat dim light.
  

7th March 2019. Steam locomotive 61306 "Mayflower" heads train 1Z15 from London Victoria to Bristol Temple Meads as it approaches the Addlestone Moor footbridge. This is a class B1 4-6-0 locomotive, as designed by Thompson of the LNER.
  

19th February 2019. Road / Rail Megarailer machine 99709 910025-4 stands in Ewell West station car park with a rail trolley.
  

8th January 2019. Colas Co-Co diesel-electric locomotive 66849 heads train 6Y48 from Eastleigh to Hoo Junction as it passes through West Byfleet. Behind the loco is a set of five Autoballaster hopper wagons in the former Railtrack colours.
