 13th December 2018. Coxes Mill at Addlestone was once where iron was smelted and the impurities removed while hot by a heavy hammer driven by a waterwheel. Later the complex was enlarged and flour was milled, the machinery being driven by waterwheel, and then by water turbine. There is a mill pond out of view behind the camera that is fed by a spring. |
