This ex-GWR Chaired Sleeper Wagon was built by the GWR at Swindon in 1939 as part of lot 1313 to their diagram T12. The wagons in this lot were numbered 100667 to 100682, plus 100684 and 100685. It was built to carry 160 sleepers with their chairs already attached. The sleepers were loaded across the wagon. It is thought that at some point the wagon was rebuilt with sides in order to carry concrete sleepers. The wagon is fitted with Dean-Churchward brakes. It was photographed in the loco shed yard. 3rd September 2013.
