SECR Photo F.
An SECR 2-4-0T with curved areas above each driving wheel.  Detail includes the station awning, the water crane and even what appears to be a ground signal.

SECR Photo F Feedback:
Location probably St Pauls (Holborn Viaduct), Ludgate Hill or London Bridge.  A 'Sondes' clsss 2-4-0T built by R. & W Hawthorn originally to a Crampton / Cubitt 4-4-0T design for the opening of the London Chatham & Dover Railway (formerly East Kent Railway). These appeared in October 1857 onwards. In 1865 Martley rebuilt them as 2-4-0T and Kirtley fitted new boilers and condensing gear in 1876.  All six lasted until 1909.

SECR Photo I.
A 4-4-0 hauling what appears to be an SER line express.  A round ended wagon in the adjacent siding is lettered "SER" and the signalbox behind the train has SER characteristics.  The first vehicle in the passenger train is a guards van with a birdcage lookout above the roof.  It is an early version of vehicles that were still in use in France in the 1950s.

SECR Photo I Feedback:
None.

SECR Photo J.
A signalbox at an unknown location.  There appears to be a bell above the entrance to the signalbox, presumed to have been used to announce the imminent arrival of trains to passengers waiting on the platform.  .

SECR Photo J Feedback:
This is Sydenham Hill signal cabin.  It was replaced by one on the other side of the line during the improvements made between 1909 and 1912.  The photograph was taken looking towards London.
