DRS class 37 locomotive 37259 heads a four coach test train south through Coxes Mill at Addlestone on 30th July 2008. The train identity is 1Q14 and DRS locomotive 37612 brings up the rear.

The train had begun the day at Eastleigh and had journeyed to Romsey, Eastleigh, Portsmouth Southampton and Staines, from where it was on its way to Weybridge when this photograph was taken.

The first vehicle in the train was structure gauging support coach DB 977986, which was formerly number 72715.

DRS class 37 locomotive 37612 at the rear of the train. The signal feathers indicate that the route was set at Addlestone Junction for the train to run to Weybridge, where it was to reverse.


After reversal at Weybridge DRS class 37 locomotive 37612 brought train 1Q14 to Staines Up Goods Loop, where the crew took their lunch break before continuing on to Hither Green depot.
