modern addition that dates from when the locomotive hauled the Royal
Train.

express train at Brock Troughs in August 1952. This locomotive entered service in
1938
in non-streamlined form.

of Salford" hauls Down "Royal Scot" near Shap Summit 6th
June 1952. The coaches are in BR carmine & cream livery.
This locomotive entered service in 1948 in non-streamlined form. It was
the last of the class to be built and one of two built with roller
bearings.
