GWR 5100 Class 2-6-2T Locomotives

GWR 5100 class 2-6-2T number 5164 at Bewdley on the Severn Valley Railway 16th October 1983.
  
     
  The 5100 class 2-6-2Ts were designed under the leadership of the Great Western Railway's Chief Mechanical Engineer, Charles Collett.  They were built by the GWR at their Swindon works in 1928 and 1929.  A slightly heavier version was produced as the 5101 class.
