The
King class 4-6-0s were designed under the leadership of the
Great Western Railway's Chief Mechanical Engineer, Charles
Collett. With their distinctive curved outside steam pipes
and outside bearings on their leading bogie wheels they were introduced
to traffic in 1927. |
