The
Elveden War Memorial in Suffolk was designed by Clyde Young and is
dedicated to the fallen of the three villages of Elveden, Eriswell
and Icklingham. It is formed of a Corinthian column of Weldon
Stone topped with a vase of Portland Stone and is reported to be
127 feet high. It took two years to build. The location is
adjacent to the A11 road at Weather Heath near Thetford.
