Narrow Gauge Line - Wolverton Works


A narrow gauge line served the carpenters yard at the former London & North Western Railway's Wolverton Works.

Wolverton Works was built astride the London & Birmingham Railway's line at approximately the mid-point along it. The works became famous for carriage building and repairs and became so busy that the main line was diverted around it. The narrow gauge line was disused by the time these pictures were taken.
