Wagon 146 was built on a chassis made of components originally intended to be used under a French design OCEM KKu van, but instead used under an M.O.T 20-ton hopper wagon.

This page contains some general views of wagon 146 and various detail photographs. As the chassis of this wagon has clasp brakes it is assumed to be one of those intended to be fitted with Westinghouse brakes and classified KKuw.
