A road / rail excavator is at the platform of Kempton park station and Hanson locomotive 59101 is beyond.

Hanson locomotive 59101 has pulled forward as the excavator unloading the wagons has worked along the track bed.

Hanson 59101 will soon take its empty train to Eastleigh.  Later new sleepers will be brought to the work site, followed by new rails. Only when the line has been properly tamped and levelled will it be reopened for normal rail traffic.
