Further out from Stratford the line runs in a cutting, with a magnificent bridge carrying a road over the line. This location is believed to be called Springfield Cutting.

At Newbold Wharf the railway used to run along the line of the trees alongside the Shipston Road, then behind the buildings in the foreground.  Photograph taken looking towards Stratford.  11th October 2008.

The cottages at Newbold Wharf.  The line ran behind these buildings.  As the railway was owned by a canal company they used the canal term wharf instead of goods yard.  11th October 2008.
